Occupational Therapy

Hands, dexterity & daily life

Therapy centered on daily life: restoring the fine motor control, coordination and independence that ordinary tasks quietly depend on.

Common treatments

  • Hand & upper-extremity therapyFractures, tendon injuries, arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome and post-surgical recovery.
  • Post-operative rehabilitationRecovery after hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder and other orthopedic procedures.
  • Fine-motor & coordination trainingImproving dexterity and the functional use of the hand.
  • Strengthening & therapeutic exerciseRestoring strength, endurance, range of motion and functional capacity.
  • Splinting & orthoticsFabrication and fitting of custom or prefabricated splints.
  • Pediatric outpatient OTFine motor, handwriting, sensory, developmental and functional skills.

Acupuncture

Pain, stress & the nervous system

Acupuncture relieves chronic pain, reduces stress and lessens inflammation by stimulating the nervous system with fine, thin needles.

Benefits

  • Pain reliefEases lower back pain, neck pain, osteoarthritis and knee discomfort.
  • Headache managementReduces the frequency and severity of tension headaches and migraines.
  • Stress & anxiety reductionPromotes relaxation and lowers stress hormones.
  • Nausea reliefHelps manage chemotherapy-induced or post-operative nausea.
  • Improved sleepEnhances sleep quality for those living with chronic conditions or PTSD.

Dry Needling

Trigger points & muscle release

A thin, solid needle is placed directly into a muscle trigger point — the tight knot of fibers behind so much stubborn pain — to release tension, reduce pain and restore mobility.

How it works

  • No medicationIt is called “dry” because nothing is injected — the needle alone does the work.
  • Local twitch responseThe needle stimulates the tight muscle band, often producing a brief, involuntary contraction.
  • Resetting the muscleThat twitch relaxes the cramped fibers, increases blood flow and quiets the pain signals sent to the brain.

Conditions treated

  • Neck, back & shoulder pain
  • Muscle strains & tightness
  • Tennis elbow & tendonitis
  • Headaches & migraines
  • Plantar fasciitis

Vestibular Therapy

Dizziness, balance & gaze

A specialized exercise program designed to reduce dizziness, improve balance and steady the gaze when the inner ear sends the brain mixed signals.

Request a visit →

How it works

Your brain, eyes and inner ears work together to keep you balanced. When injury, illness or age affects the inner ear — the vestibular system — the brain receives conflicting signals. Vestibular therapy uses specific movements to retrain the brain to adapt, and to lean on other senses to make up the difference.

Common exercises

  • Gaze stabilizationMoving the head side to side or up and down while the eyes stay locked on a single target.
  • Balance retrainingStanding or walking on uneven surfaces, with eyes closed, or while moving the head.
  • HabituationSafely repeating the movements that trigger mild dizziness until the brain stops over-reacting to them.
  • Repositioning maneuversGuided head and body movements that return loose inner-ear crystals to place, for conditions such as BPPV.

Shockwave Therapy

Acoustic waves for stalled healing

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate blood flow, break down scar tissue and accelerate the natural healing of damaged tendons, ligaments and bone.

Request a visit →

How it works

  • MechanotransductionAcoustic waves convert physical force into biochemical signals at the cellular level, sparking tissue regeneration.
  • Increased circulationPrompts new blood-vessel formation to deliver oxygen and nutrients to injured areas.
  • Pain reliefHigh-energy pulses desensitize local nerve endings and disrupt pain signals.
  • Cell activationRecruits growth factors and stimulates the body's own repair cells.

Conditions treated

  • Plantar fasciitisHeel pain and inflammation along the bottom of the foot.
  • TendinopathiesChronic issues such as tennis elbow, golfer's elbow and Achilles tendinopathy.
  • Calcific tendinitisCalcium deposits in the rotator cuff or other tendons.
  • Bone healingSlow-healing or non-union stress fractures.

Class 4 Laser Therapy

Deep, drug-free relief

Deep-penetrating laser used to calm inflammation and pain and to support tissue repair — a comfortable, drug-free session that pairs naturally with hands-on care.

Benefits

  • Pain reliefCalms overactive nerves and triggers the release of endorphins.
  • Reduced inflammationDecreases swelling and modulates inflammatory compounds around joints and soft tissue.
  • Improved circulationExpands blood vessels to boost oxygen and nutrient delivery to damaged areas.
  • Enhanced mobilityEases muscle spasm and flexibility restrictions to improve range of motion.

Conditions treated

  • ArthritisEases joint stiffness and inflammation from osteoarthritis.
  • Tendonitis & bursitisAccelerates recovery in stubborn areas such as the elbow, shoulder or Achilles tendon.
  • Sports injuriesHelps muscle strains and ligament sprains heal faster.
  • Back & neck painTargets deep spinal tissue, discs and the surrounding musculature.

Massage Therapy

Tension, circulation & calm

A range of massage techniques that relieve muscle tension, reduce stress and improve circulation — supporting physical and mental well-being alike.

Physical benefits

  • Pain reliefEases chronic lower back, neck and shoulder pain, and the discomfort of fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis.
  • Better recoveryReduces muscle stiffness, lessens post-workout soreness and speeds recovery between sessions.
  • Improved movementEnhances joint flexibility and overall range of motion.
  • Circulation & immunityStimulates blood flow to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissue while supporting immune function.

Mental & emotional benefits

  • Stress reductionLowers cortisol, the body's primary stress hormone, and shifts it into a relaxed state.
  • MoodRaises serotonin and dopamine to help ease anxiety and low mood.
  • Better sleepCalms the nervous system and relieves discomfort, for deeper, higher-quality rest.
